Job-type: Full-Time, exempt

Location: Hybrid role based out Twinsburg, OH. 2-3 days on-site.

Salary Range: $65,000 – $75,000. This range represents a good faith estimate of the expected base salary for this position. Final base salary will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and alignment with market data.

Summary: 

 

The HRIS Specialist & Data Analyst administers and maintains ADP Workforce Now (WFN) and Workforce Manager (WFM), ensuring accurate employee data, timekeeping configuration, and payroll compliance. This role processes employee lifecycle transactions, supports attendance and accrual management, monitors system integrations, and assists with payroll-related audits and reporting. In addition to core HRIS responsibilities, this role leads workforce data analysis initiatives, develops analytical models and dashboards, and translates complex HR data into actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making across HR, Finance, and Operations. 

The position partners closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, and Operations to maintain data integrity, strengthen internal controls, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytically strong, and experienced in ADP systems, payroll/timekeeping processes, and workforce data analysis. Experience with data visualization tools and advanced Excel or BI platforms (such as Power BI or Tableau) is highly valued.

 

Responsibilities

HRIS Administration & Employee Data 

  • Maintain and update employee records in ADP Workforce Now ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and proper effective dating 
  • Process employee lifecycle transactions including hires, terminations, transfers, job changes, compensation updates, and status changes 
  • Maintain position management structures and organizational hierarchies to ensure reporting and payroll accuracy 
  • Conduct routine audits of employee data including tax elections, direct deposit, accrual balances, and earnings configurations 
  • Monitor data integrity and correct discrepancies proactively 

Timekeeping & Workforce Manager Configuration 

  • Administer Workforce Manager including timekeeping profiles, pay codes, schedules, accruals, attendance rules, and work rules 
  • Maintain attendance tracking and point systems aligned with company policy 
  • Validate timekeeping configurations comply with FLSA, overtime rules, and state wage laws 
  • Identify configuration gaps and recommend improvements to reduce errors and manual intervention  

Integrations & System Support 

  • Monitor integrations between Workforce Manager, Workforce Now, and external vendors 
  • Troubleshoot interface failures, data mapping issues, and transmission errors 
  • Coordinate with vendors and IT teams to resolve system or connectivity issues 
  • Support system upgrades, patches, testing, and implementation initiatives 
  • Participate in user acceptance testing and validation of configuration changes 

Compliance & Audit Support 

  • Ensure system configurations support compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations 
  • Support new hire reporting, tax setup validation, and regulatory requirements 
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and system records 
  • Assist with internal and external audits related to payroll, timekeeping, and HRIS controls 
  • Support year-end payroll processes including W-2 and applicable reporting  

Reporting & Analytics 

  • Design, generate, analyze, and distribute standard and ad-hoc HRIS, payroll, and workforce analytics reports 
  • Build and maintain workforce dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel to surface trends in headcount, turnover, compensation, and labor costs 
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and business leaders to define data requirements, translate analytical needs into structured queries, and deliver insights that support workforce planning and decision-making 
  • Validate data accuracy used in leadership reporting and ensure analytical outputs are reconciled against source systems before distribution 
  • Develop and maintain data models, predictive analytics, and trend analyses that support workforce planning, retention strategies, and organizational effectiveness 
  • Apply data cleansing, transformation, and quality assurance best practices to ensure HR datasets are reliable and analytics-ready 

Security, Documentation & Governance 

  • Maintain role-based system security and user access permissions 
  • Support access reviews and ensure proper system authorization controls 
  • Maintain documentation for workflows, configuration standards, and SOPs 
  • Support enterprise data governance standards and naming conventions 
  • Assist in maintaining data dictionaries and system field definitions  

Stakeholder Support & Process Improvement 

  • Serve as HRIS subject matter resource for managers and HR partners 
  • Provide guidance on system navigation, data entry, and reporting tools 
  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend solutions to strengthen controls and improve efficiency 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support system and reporting initiatives 

Qualifications

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

 

  • Strong working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now, including employee lifecycle processing, position management, organizational structure maintenance, effective-dated transactions, and HRIS data integrity.
  • Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Manager or similar timekeeping systems, including pay codes, schedules, accruals, attendance rules, work rules, and system integrations.
  • Understanding of payroll, timekeeping, and employment compliance fundamentals, including final pay, benefit deductions, year-end reporting, FLSA/overtime rules, new hire reporting, I-9 documentation, and E-Verify requirements.
  • Experience auditing HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping data to identify discrepancies, resolve errors, improve controls, and ensure accurate employee records, tax elections, accrual balances, and direct deposit information.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience generating reports, reconciling data, identifying trends, and translating HR, payroll, and workforce data into clear, actionable insights for business leaders.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, Power Query, complex formulas, and data reconciliation; experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar reporting and visualization tools preferred.
  • Ability to support system integrations, troubleshoot data issues, participate in testing and configuration updates, and maintain accurate documentation, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, confidentiality, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and partner effectively with HR, Payroll, Finance, Operations, IT, vendors, and business leaders.

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred 
  • 3+ years of HRIS, Payroll, or HR Data Analytics experience 
  • Strong working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now (WFN) 
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Manager (WFM) preferred 
  • Understanding of payroll processing and timekeeping compliance 
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment compliance requirements 
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy 
  • Ability to manage confidential information appropriately 
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills 
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and HR reporting tools; experience with Power BI, Tableau, or comparable data visualization platforms preferred  
  • Experience with data querying (SQL preferred) and working with large datasets across multiple source systems 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods sitting working on a computer. 
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
