Great Day Improvements- Director of Retail Marketing
We’re seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Retail Marketing to lead our national retail marketing and lead generation efforts. This role is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing an integrated and cohesive retail marketing strategy that aligns with regional and divisional business objectives—with a focus on driving qualified leads, brand visibility, and ROI through in-store activations, events, and partnership marketing programs across our retail footprint.
The Director will lead and mentor a high-performing team of Regional Event Managers (REMs) and Event Managers (EMs), ensuring consistent execution and continuous improvement of retail marketing initiatives across all regions. A deep understanding of customer engagement within a home improvement retail environment is key to success in this role.
Base Salary: $110-$120K with Lucrative Bonus Structure!
Strategic Leadership & Retail Marketing Execution
• Develop and implement scalable, data-driven retail lead generation strategies that align with national and regional sales targets.
• Oversee execution of in-store marketing activations, retail partnerships, and customer engagement campaigns across home improvement retail locations.
• Manage the national retail marketing calendar (annual, quarterly, monthly) including campaign planning, promotional events, and seasonal initiatives.
• Ensure operational consistency and brand alignment across all markets to maximize customer impact and program ROI.
Team Leadership & Development
• Lead, coach, and inspire a distributed team of REMs and EMs, fostering a high-performance, customer-first culture.
• Partner with HR and regional leaders on the hiring, onboarding, and performance management of EMs, ensuring adequate staffing for all key markets.
• Develop and deliver training programs and playbooks to equip field teams with tools to succeed in retail environments.
• Support professional development and succession planning to build a strong talent pipeline.
Performance Management & Analytics
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) across all retail marketing initiatives—including lead volume, conversion rates, ad spend efficiency, and ROI.
• Utilize reporting tools to analyze trends, identify growth opportunities, and make data-driven recommendations.
• Conduct regular field visits and performance reviews to assess program effectiveness and coach field teams.
• Maintain program-level metrics including targeted advertising ratios and customer acquisition costs.
Operational Excellence & Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Drive continuous improvement by developing and refining SOPs, event execution guides, and training materials.
• Partner closely with Sales, Field Operations, Creative, and Product Marketing to develop compelling in-store signage, promotional materials, and brand messaging.
• Support large-scale retail events and trade shows; coordinate logistics and marketing support as needed.
• Lead internal communications for the retail marketing department on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.

Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5–7+ years of experience in retail, event, or field marketing—ideally within home improvement, building materials, or consumer services.
• Proven experience leading multi-location teams with a track record of delivering strong marketing ROI.
• Strong understanding of retail customer behavior and in-store engagement.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with CRM, marketing automation, and analytics platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Power BI, HubSpot) preferred.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines.
• Ability and willingness to travel 30–60% nationwide
