Great Day Improvements - Learning and Development Coordinator

 

We are looking for a Learning and Development Coordinator to support the delivery and management of learning initiatives across the organization. This professional will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing our Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring a seamless learning experience for all users. In addition, they will assist the (LD manager title here) in the development and enhancement of training content by organizing materials, coordinating with subject matter experts (SMEs), and supporting the instructional design process from concept to deployment. The successful candidate will be confident using data to inform decisions and contribute to the continuous improvement of our learning programs.

 

Pay Rate: $50,000 per year 

Responsibilities

• First point of contact to respond to general UFactor inquiries or direct to appropriate area, including responding to general email inbox; assist stakeholders with event registration, course completion, technical requirements.
• Manage course setup, user enrollment, reporting, and system maintenance within the LMS.
• Monitor course completion, troubleshoot access issues, and ensure data accuracy.
• Generate and analyze learning data to support continuous improvement and compliance tracking.
• Create learning materials to help users navigate the LMS.
• Support the instructional design process by formatting and editing course materials, storyboards, and presentation decks to align with established templates and branding guidelines.
• Review and proofread instructional content for clarity, grammar, and consistency.
• Help organize and maintain instructional assets, version control, and projection documentation in shared repositories.
• Stay current on Learning trends and learning management tools.
• Supports and embraces the Great Day Team Commandments.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology.

 

• Ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively; self-motivated and ability to organize to meet deadlines or competing priorities/projects.
• Ability to influence and work in a collaborative work environment that is focused on results.
• Ability to write effective instructional text and audio scripts/video scripts.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Demonstrated communication and customer service skills—experience working with employees or teams in any capacity is valuable.

 

Education and Experience:
• BS in Instructional Design, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered (to keep the role accessible).
• Coursework or certifications in training, instructional design, or adult learning (e.g., ATD, SHRM, or LinkedIn Learning courses) preferred but not required.
• Background in event coordination, onboarding, or employee engagement activities.
• Familiarity with eLearning tools (Articulate, Captivate, Canva, etc.) or content editing is a plus.
• 2 years of professional experience, ideally in human resources, training coordination, administration, or related roles.
• Experience with scheduling, coordinating logistics, or supporting events (even internships, work-study, or volunteer roles count).
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or eLearning platforms is a plus.
• Exposure to Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, SharePoint) required.
