Great Day Improvements - Human Resources Coordinator (Manufacturing)

 

As the HR Coordinator, you will be part of the Great Day Manufacturing team, ensuring the plant has the resources to identify, onboard, develop, and manage talent. This role partners closely with plant leadership, supervisors, and employees to ensure HR processes run smoothly, compliance is maintained, and employee engagement initiatives are supported.

 

Pay Rate: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour 

Location: On-site - position requires availability to work 1-2 days a week from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm

Responsibilities

Recruitment & Staffing

  • Support recruitment efforts, partnering with the recruiting team to coordinate and schedule interviews and manage candidate/hiring manager communication.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for temp agencies; manage temporary labor assignments.
  • Maintain and update the Staffing Sheet Report tracker, ensuring timely communication.

Onboarding & Orientation

  • Coordinate onboarding logistics, including new hire paperwork, badge creation, and scheduling.
  • Conduct new hire orientations, including plant tours and engagement activities.

HR Operations & Communication

  • Maintain accurate employee records, attendance tracking, and HRIS data updates.
  • Create, post, monitor, and update policies, procedures, job notices, and bulletins.
  • Manage the attendance points tracking process and reporting.
  • Partner with supervisors and managers to monitor attendance, timecard approvals, and PTO requests.
  • Assist in scheduling manufacturing associates’ time with the HR department.
  • Distribute paychecks and pay cards.

Employee Engagement & Training

  • Coordinate employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and plant events.
  • Assist in facilitating company polls and surveys.
  • Support training and employees’ meetings coordination, including scheduling, tracking completions, and maintaining training records.

Reporting & Data Management

  • Prepare and distribute HR reports (headcount, turnover, staffing updates) to management.

Employee Relations Support

  • Assist with employee relations cases by scheduling meetings, preparing documentation, and maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of human resources administration or office administration experience preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Lean Six Sigma experience is a plus.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; strong Excel skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking in and around the manufacturing plant.
  • Most days, frequently changing from sitting to standing throughout the day.
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds at a time.
  • Tolerant to high temperatures
