As a Regional Manager of Market Development, you will be in a critical national role that demands a deep understanding of sales, central team support, and installations. This individual must be a strategic thinker, collaborator, recruiter, team builder, and trainer, with a strong ability to execute plans and deliver results. The focus is on driving sales/revenue growth and EBITDA.

 

Mission: Build and lead a high-performing Market Development Team composed of seasoned sales and operations professionals. This team will play a critical role in the successful onboarding of new Champion locations and in revitalizing underperforming branches across the organization.


The primary objective of the Market Development Team is to ensure each assigned location is equipped for sustainable success. Through hands-on support, coaching, and strategic alignment, the team will drive consistent performance improvements and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities:
• Recruit and develop a team of cross-functional experts in sales and operations.
• Oversee the launch process for new locations, ensuring smooth integration into company standards and culture.
• Diagnose performance gaps in underperforming branches and implement targeted action plans.
• Collaborate with the assigned Regional Leadership teams to align goals and share best practices.
• Monitor progress and provide continuous support until assigned branches are stabilized and achieving performance benchmarks.


Performance Metrics:
• Total revenue growth for impacted branches
• Improvement in EBITDA margins
• Operational KPIs (e.g., onboarding timeline, customer satisfaction, sales conversion rates, process compliance and others)
• Success rate of revitalized branches post-engagement

Responsibilities

· Strategic Planning & Execution: Enhance sales growth, profitability, productivity, and efficiency across company operations.

· Champion Location Management: Lead and manage designated Champion locations to ensure sales growth, targeted profit margins, excellent customer service, quality installations, and a high-performance culture.

· Executive Collaboration: Work closely with the executive team and departments to align company operations, talent, sales, and strategic priorities.

· Leadership & Coaching: Act as a role model, coach, and advocate for great customer and employee experiences, enabling and holding people accountable for results.

· Process Improvement: Introduce and align on best practices, process improvement measures, and ensure compliance with corporate policies and government regulations.

· Market Expansion: Focus on opening new markets and turning around underperforming markets, eventually handing over divisions to regional operators.

· Marketing & Sales Strategy: Execute forecasted marketing plans and sales strategies to achieve growth and EBITDA targets.

· Customer & Internal Communication: Communicate customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates with marketing and leadership to drive successful strategies

Qualifications

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field; MBA preferred.

· Experience: 8-10 years of experience in business ownership or managing a business, preferably in the home improvement industry.

· Team Management: Proven experience in recruiting, developing, and managing high-performance teams, fostering a culture of growth, trust, collaboration, and accountability.

· Marketing & Fiscal Management: Ability to understand and execute marketing plans aligned with company practices, and teach fiscal management and business/sales models.

· Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills; skilled in conflict resolution and mediation.

· Business Acumen: Skilled in business management, including budget preparation and fiscal management, with the ability to plan, develop, and coordinate multiple objectives.

· Technological Proficiency: Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Suite.

· Travel: Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
