Great Day Improvements / Champion Windows - Certifications and Compliance Specialist (Home Improvement Industry)
We are seeking a detail-oriented Certifications and Compliance Specialist to oversee certification processes and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role is integral to maintaining regulatory adherence while supporting product innovation and operational excellence and works closely with the engineering, product, manufacturing, and operations teams.

Certification Management
• Ensure organizational compliance with relevant industry certifications and regulatory requirements.
• Review and interpret relevant building codes and industry regulations (e.g., IRC, IBC, Florida Building code, Title 24, CALGreen local permitting requirements) to maintain compliance.
• Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies, inspectors, and permitting offices to facilitate approvals and resolve compliance issues.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for certifications, and regulatory approvals.
• Stay informed on regulatory changes in federal, national, local, state, and industry regulations and update company policies accordingly.
• Evaluate product designs and materials to confirm adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
• Maintain a certification database and ensure timely updates and renewals.
• Act as the primary contact for employees regarding certification requirements.
New Market Expansion
• Research and analyze local, state, and federal regulations for new geographic markets prior to expansion.
• Identify potential compliance challenges and work with stakeholders to develop solutions.
• Support the certifications and approvals required for new market entry.
• Assist in the strategic planning to proactively address legal and regulatory requirements for new market.
Product Development Support
• Partner with product design and engineering teams to ensure compliance in new and modified products. Collaborate with product and operations teams to integrate feedback from regulatory bodies and certification agencies.
• Review specifications and prototypes to identify potential compliance issues early in the development process.
• Support the certification process for product launches.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field preferred or the equivalent experience in compliance, certification management, regulatory affairs, or a related field, preferably within the construction, home improvement, or manufacturing industries.
• Ability to research and analyze regulatory environments in new markets.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical and legal documents.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working across all levels of the organization.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented, adaptable, and proactive in driving improvements.
• Knowledge of certification management, compliance processes, and industry standards preferred.
• Knowledge of building codes, zoning laws, and regulatory compliance in the home improvement or construction industry preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD is a plus but not required.
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills.
*Willingness to travel up to 25% to meet business needs.
