Great Day Improvements - Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)

 

As the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), you will play a pivotal role in leading our organization's strategic financial planning efforts. Your primary responsibilities will include spearheading the annual planning and budgeting process, providing critical insights across multiple brands and profit & loss statements (P&Ls) to enhance business performance, and championing alignment across various brands. Focusing on driving top-line revenue growth and operational efficiencies to positively impact EBITDA will be central to your role.

Responsibilities

· Lead or second chair the annual financial planning process for multiple brands, collaborating closely with department heads and business unit leaders to develop operationalized business and financial plans.

· Manage and mentor a team of finance/business analyst professionals, cultivating a culture of strategic analysis and execution-focused impact.

· Provide decision support to the organization through comprehensive data compilation, assumptions gathering, and scenario analysis, aimed at improving top-line revenue growth and operational efficiencies to positively impact EBITDA.

· Lead critical complex projects involving use of data and insights to inform strategy and execution for positive and expected business results on tight time frames and with focus on achieving goals and remaining positive.

· Utilize M&A experience and leadership skills, collaborating with the EVP of Integration and businesses through assessment, diligence, planning, and integration, ensuring scalable analysis and partnership across the business.

· Develop a robust and capable business analytics capability, leveraging strategic insights to drive business performance.

· Foster the adoption of new technologies and innovative solutions, integrating emerging tech with existing tools and capabilities effectively.

· Ensure alignment across multiple brands and P&Ls, maintaining consistency and synergy in financial planning and analysis efforts.

· Foster a culture of transparency, openness to collaboration, and knowledge sharing within the FP&A team and across departments.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree required, ideally in finance or accounting. MBA or advanced degree in finance, strategy or equivalent preferred.

· 5+ years of relevant experience in Finance and FP&A roles, preferably in a high-growth, private equity organization. Leadership of teams and projects including direct and indirect management of people

· Strong track record of reporting and financial analysis, including experience with acquisitions and/or sale processes.

· Experience with systems, including but not limited to Planful, is preferred.

· Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

 

Initial Priorities:

· Familiarize yourself with the financial landscape of multiple brands and profit & loss statements.

· Establish strong relationships with department heads and business unit leaders across various brands.

· Evaluate existing FP&A processes and identify areas for improvement to drive top-line revenue growth and operational efficiencies.

· Lead the upcoming annual financial planning and budgeting process with a focus on aligning strategies across brands and enhancing overall business performance.

· Develop and nurture a capable business analytics capability with a strategic and execution-focused impact.

· Implement forecasting and budgeting processes aiming for a 5% standard deviation to actuals per month.

· Drive strategy initiatives aiming for 10% revenue and EBITDA growth YoY

· Enhance and improve a new P&L reporting system, providing in-depth analysis of financial measurements and business metrics to support growth and margin enhancement.
