K-Designers - Vice President of Operations

 

As the Vice President of Operations, you will be reporting to the Senior Vice President of Brand, is a critical leadership role responsible for efficiently and profitably managing Installation/Operations across multiple regional branches of our brand. This role requires a seasoned leader with strong general management skills, financial acumen, and a strategic mindset. Key responsibilities include: overseeing operations, driving financial performance, ensuring customer satisfaction, team management and development, sales support, collaboration with shared services to improve financing mechanisms, and oversight of installation processes including job scheduling, milestone accountability, job completion review, and installer recruitment. This leader can impact our growth and profitability through development and execution of processes, systems and development of team members and relationships.

Responsibilities

1. Operations Management:

· Oversee the day-to-day operations across multiple locations through practices, processes, and team development as well as leadership and oversight. In the details to help lead, not micromanage.

· Utilize Tableau, CRM and ERP system for efficient management and profitable management of projects.

· Ensure implementation of customer satisfaction processes.

· Collaborate with retail sales, branch leadership, and shared services to ensure great customer service and profitable growth through operational excellence.

· Assume leadership with new projects as needed

 

2. Financial Management:

· Drive job profitability and budget adherence.

· Evaluate job costs and margins using Job Cost system.

· Maintain accurate schedules and revenue projections.

· Cultivate and Manage Lending platform partners and responsibility for consumer financing in coordination with Great Day leader of consumer finance.

 

3. Team Leadership and Development:

· Manage and develop the team with support and guidance on training and development.

· Focus on retention and engagement of team members.

· Recruiting Installers: Conduct interviews, extend offers, and oversee onboarding and training processes for installers.

 

4. Sales Team Support and Contract Execution:

· Connect with the sales team to support contract execution accuracy.

· Identify opportunities to secure great customer service and feedback.

 

5. Installation Process Oversight:

· Develop, lead and execute the processes, system and talent to ensure the following.

· Job Scheduling & Milestone Accountability:

· Work with Production Managers to ensure all installation crews are actively working.

· Forecast scheduling based on product receive date.

· Take action on product delays by coordinating with Production Manager, Branch Manager, Manufacturer Representative, and Freight Broker.

· Address installation crew delays by facilitating transfers from branches with inactive installation crews.

· Take the lead to drive installation efficiencies.

· Job Completion Review & Accountability:

 · Review labor bills and material expenses/returns.

 · Ensure documentation of before, during, and after work through photos/videos.

 · Ensure payment collection upon project completion.

Qualifications

· Minimum 5 years of experience in general management, preferably in remodeling or residential construction.

· Previous P&L responsibility is highly desirable.

· Data Driven business leadership with fluency in BI or Tableau.

· Strong leadership and communication skills.

· Proficiency in technology, especially MS Excel; experience with CRM systems is advantageous.

· Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and in complex situations

· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Strong problem-solving abilities to address issues promptly and effectively.

· Demonstrated leadership skills to inspire and motivate teams towards achieving goals.

· Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in management and project oversight.

· Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

· Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in operational processes.

· Ability to lead and manage remote teams and develop engagement and accountability for customer excellence and data driven decision making resulting in profitable execution that in turn helps drive growth and positive reputation of the brand.
