GDI - CYCLE COUNTER - PURCHASING DEPT. / 1ST SHIFT

 

Great Day Mfg has an opening for a Cycle Counter in the Purchasing Department. This position will focus on inventory cycle counting and to track and monitor inventory within the warehouse to ensure system accuracy. Requires strong reliance on accuracy, control, monitoring and coordination to confirm inventory & investigate count discrepancies. Assist with materials movement transaction & warehouse duties as directed by the Purchasing Manager.

Responsibilities

· Perform daily cycle counts

· Assist in the implementation of integrating the cycle count process

· Monitor and control inventory integrity

· Maintain product identification, location, and lot code accuracy

· Research inventory discrepancies

· Work with procurement and production personnel to resolve inventory problems in a timely manner

· Open cartons, bundles, and other containers to count items and/or weigh materials to determine quantity on hand

· Report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products

· Perform material movements from the dock to an inventory location

· Ensure scrap transaction are recorded as necessary

· Assist with other duties as required

Qualifications

· Previous cycle count experience highly preferred

· Minimum of one (1) year in a warehouse environment

 

Specific requirements include:

 

· Basic Computer skills, MS Excel, Word, & Outlook

· Basic Math skills

· Good attendance & punctuality

 

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

 

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.

· This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing all day.

· The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
